Why do some people keep pets?

There are several reasons I want to mention(模板句式). First of all, pets, such as dog or cat, are considered to a great companion(陪伴), especially for people who live alone. Pets are treated as important family members for some people. What’s more, pets can bring entertainment for people. I mean, they are creatures just like human who have their own personalities and habits. The interaction between pets and people can bring endless happiness and joy. People can even gain the sense of responsibility and belonging(责任感和归属感) from taking care of a pet.

Do you have a favorite animal?

Well, I guess I like panda the most, not because they are the national treasure(国宝) of my country, nor they are endangered species, but because of the lifestyle they are living in. They are quiet friendly compared with other types of bears. What they do every day is food, rest and being cute. The laid-back(慵懒的) lifestyle just sounds perfect.
